On Trent's Birthday, he stayed home and we all went out to breakfast. IHOP was doing Horton Hears a Who pancakes. It was a real treat. The only problem was that I did not order for Aiden, thinking he could share with the others, and when the pancakes came, he said "Where's my pancake?" You forget how easily a 2 year old catches on! Trent's requests for his B-day were to watch the Lord of the Ring Trilogy all day, have Enchiladas for dinner and a Banana Cream pie. And money to spend at Amazon. I hope that he felt spoiled!

Caterpillars and Butterflies
Our Caterpillars. Since Logan stayed home with mom this year, we thought we would do something fun as if he were in preschool. So we got Caterpillars. They were so small when we got them.
Madison and Spencer were so excited for us to get Caterpillars. We thought it would be fun to watch them change into butterflies. Each of the kids took turns keeping the caterpillars in their room.
We watched them get bigger and bigger for about 10 days until one day they formed their chrystalids. They were in there for about 2 weeks.
Now we have 5 beautiful butterflies!!! It is too cold to release them (55 degrees today) but as soon as it gets up to 65 we will let them go. We feed them sugar water, and oranges. They seem to like that. The kids have each named their butterflies. Princess, Spiderman, Dora, Spotty, and Daisy. (I helped Taryn)
I took them outside to get a little sun. But too cold. Aiden was trying to let them go.

Finally coming into the 21st century!
Thanks to my friend Cathleen, I am going to try having a family blog so that we can share what is happening with our family to all of you who live so far away. We will try to update as often as possible. Our family is keeping busy. We are getting ready for Logan to begin soccer, Spencer T-ball, and Madison is going to join a bowling league. Trent's birthday is coming up. He is taking the day off of work, and all he wants to do is RELAX!
Well, that is it for now, I will try and figure out how to make this more exciting! Heidi
